Who We Are

Angels for Animals is a non-profit, all volunteer organization serving Trumbull, Mahoning & Columbiana counties in Northeastern Ohio and Lawrence & Mercer counties in Western, PA. During their nearly twelve years of existence over 17,000 dogs and cats have been spayed or neutered, resulting in a significant impact to our community.

The continuing work of Angels for Animals involves:

Each year Angels for Animals conducts more than 100 educational presentations and adopts out more than 1,000 dogs and cats. They also arrange for low-cost spays and neuters for private pet owners by local veterinarians and answer many calls from the public about their own pets.

Shelter animals are available for adoption for an affordable fee (to cover in part the money spent on each animal's medical expenses).

Adopting a friend

cats, dogs

cats

adoption fee cats & kittens: $90.00

additional adoption(s):

$60.00 (only when adopting animals at same time)

An adoption fee is required when adopting an Angel's cat which covers part of our out-of-pocket costs for the base care. This base care includes:

This is a great way to get a pet. Our health care package is valued at $200 - $300 and is made possible only by donations of time by loving volunteers and the wonderful service of our shelter veterinarians with assistance from local veterinarians.

All of our adopted strays have a life-long right of return. If, for any reason, you need to re-home a cat that was adopted from Angels, you must bring the animal back to us for re-homing. You may not give away an Angels' pet. These animals are taken from bad situations and we do not want them to end up in another. If the return is within a two week period you will receive a refund of all but the $20.00 deposit, thereafter there is no refund.

Angels will from time to time do check-ups on our animals that have been homed to make sure the owners are living up to our contract and that the animals are healthy and happy. These check-ups include phone calls and/or home visits.
